{"id":1099,"date":"2009-12-11T15:47:21","date_gmt":"2009-12-11T05:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.somethinkodd.com\/oddthinking\/?p=1099"},"modified":"2009-12-11T15:47:21","modified_gmt":"2009-12-11T05:47:21","slug":"blu-tack-shelf-life-and-stickiness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.somethinkodd.com\/oddthinking\/2009\/12\/11\/blu-tack-shelf-life-and-stickiness\/","title":{"rendered":"Blu Tack Shelf-Life and Stickiness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This post is offered so that you may learn from the experience of others.<\/p>\n<p>I have some learned some things this week. <\/p>\n<p>Firstly, it&#8217;s not called Blue-Tac, it is called Blu Tack.<\/p>\n<p>I have an old packet of Blu Tack that I have had for many, many years. Probably over a decade; I don&#8217;t recall purchasing it. I don&#8217;t use it much. Blu Tack never seems to be sticky enough.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, I tried to use it recently, and its lack of stickiness (tackiness?) frustrated me. I did some searching.<\/p>\n<div class=\"aside\">Did you know that Blu Tack was originally white, but they were afraid children would eat it so they coloured it blue\/grey.<\/p>\n<p>A friend recently revealed she would eat Blu Tack as a child, because it was the same colour as smurfs.
