It dropped to the floor, where by some miracle it had landed buttered-side <em>up<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Buttered-side up!&#8221; he was exclaiming with joy, &#8220;It landed buttered-side up! What are the chances of that? It never lands buttered-side up!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Still overjoyed with his luck, he bent down to pick up the piece of bread&#8230; and fumbled.
