In a newsgroup, you subscribe to everything, and then filter out the noise with a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dickalba.demon.co.uk\/usenet\/guide\/faq_kill.html\">killfile<\/a>, until the signal gets strong enough to be worthwhile&#8230; hopefully. With a blog, you occasionally test-drive a new blog, and, if it has a high enough signal-to-noise, you add it to your RSS aggregator.<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s my point: We have a perfectly good word for saying &#8220;That was a stupid post. I&#8217;ve added you to my killfile.&#8221; &#8211;  <a href=\"http:\/\/catb.org\/~esr\/jargon\/html\/P\/plonk.html\">*plonk*<\/a> is from the hypothetical sound a user-id makes, as it lands at the bottom of the killfile.<\/p>\n<p>Where is the opposite word that means &#8220;Hey! Nice blog!
