Fodder first time in Sydney

Via Scott in Wollongong comes this week’s new word: “fodder”, meaning bad or second-rate. Allegedly derived from the belief that cattle fodder imported during a drought is second-rate compared to grass eaten straight out of the ground. For example, “I liked the last act, but I reckon this performance is fodder.”
