Here’s another reason why I don’t need to put up an Author photograph. You can just imagine me from my description!

I’ve just been playing with a free Beta version of some facial recognition software. You upload some photos, it picks out the faces and tries to match them against the ones in its database.

At this stage, the database mainly has celebrities in it.

Apparently, my recent photos show that I am a dead ringer for Adrien Brody.

… and Clark Gable

About four years ago – according to the software at least – I looked more like Jose Carreras… aged about 60. Hmmmm….

It gets worse, though.

About 14 years ago, I apparently looked more like this celebrity. [Note: It’s only a link to Google, but may be NSFW.]

It looks like I will be labelling my own photos for a while yet… and probably moderating the comments on this post heavily too, if I am any judge.
